Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
Just a few questions, if your pulling the suites are you re releasing them?
The vista one works fine on my system, but i cant seem to install anything other then the drivers on my mums computer (she has a audigy 2 running xp) the software should come up the same on both when fully installed? What version of drivers are in the suites? thanks for your time. |

I have an Audigy 2 and am upgrading to Vista 64bit and was wondering if this will allow me to use CMSS 2?

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
Hey guys, I am new here but have to admit: this modding is an awesome job.
I love custom files which just work so good.I only have the old Audigy 1 and I wonder if I have any use from all the XFI/HQ/Audigy 4 folders of that suite. There are lots of interesting folders in there, I just wonder if I could use some of it... |

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
Couple Questions:
1. Do you need the original drivers to use this? 2. Does it have the original sound font support from the audigy drivers? |

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
Well, i tried to use them, but it keeps giving me the "CODE (37) Windows cannot initialize this device", I've been at it for a week straight now trying to get the audigy 1 drivers working in xp. They work fine with the kx drivers, but somehow not with the creative drivers.

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
I had to install the drivers manually (audigy 0090) on xp, and now i ok!
I olso have win 7 and after installation works only 3 front speakers, I can turn 5.1 but plays only 3. Eax console does't work at all, there were errors during installation (sometihng like "cannot register module"). I know they are not for win 7 but it would be great if they work on win 7 too. Thank you Robert for the drivers. p.s. Sorry for my english |

During and after reboot, there were no special post-boot actions (no driver installation achievements or setup installer running). I then ran "\Audigy4\Audio\Setup\setup.exe": it asked which components I wanted, installed them and they showed up in "C:\Program Files\Creative" and" Start Menu\Programs\Creative". I do have an "SB Audigy 4 (WDM)" audio device in the Windows Device Manager, but it doesn't seems to work : no Windows sound, Winamp won't run, etc. If I try to run any tool such as the EAX Console or Surround Mixer I get the followings error messages (in French because my Windows is in French): Quote:

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
So the steps are :
1. "\Setup.exe" (to install drivers once) 2. Reboot 3. "\Audigy4\Audio\Setup\setup.exe" (to install tools and consoles) 4. Re-run "\Setup.exe" to reinstall drivers Correct ? Because it seems there is a lot of way to install drivers manually : a. Re-run "\Setup.exe" b. Windows Device Manager > right-click on device > "Update drivers" > "Choose from list or place" > Browse to "\Drivers\wdm" c. Run "\Drivers\Setup.exe" |

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
I also noticed I had two unknown devices on High Definition Audio bus.
Someone could confirm there should be only one device in the "Windows Device Manager" named "Creative SB Audigy 4 (WDM)" while using "Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009" for an Audigy 4 Pro? |

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
No I haven't installed the official drivers (in fact I did it multiple times, but I ran Driver Cleaner before trying the 2009 Suite).
So I uninstall everything (with Windows Add/Remove programs, Windows Device Manager and DriverCleaner), install the official "Creative Sound Blaster Audigy 2.18.0010 (2009-03-23)" drivers (file "SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0010.exe"), run "\Setup.exe" (from PAX 2009 Suite), reboot, run "\Audigy4\Audio\Setup\setup.exe" (from PAX 2009 Suite), and I should be fine? I'm gonna try right now ![]() I just hope the "\Setup.exe" (from PAX 2009 Suite) won't detect previous drivers (the official ones) and ask to remove them before continuing

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
Ya thats fine I know it's a pain but if you have clean system you do need offical drivers first I think if not go ahead installed my pax audigy 6.50 set then installed the tools. I might be off while going installed windows 7 build 7100 soon

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
Thanks a lot: it's now fixed (sound+tools working).
As advised I installed (by running "\setup.exe") the official 2.18.0010 (2009-03-23) drivers (SBAX_PCDRV_LB_2_18_0010.exe) after having installed the Suite Spring Edition 2009 drivers ("\Setup.exe") + tools ("\Audigy4\Audio\Setup\setup.exe"). Thanks again (for BOTH you work on drivers AND for your fast and reliable support) |

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
XtAbit, Have you read my post (the one just before yours)?
My steps (for an Audigy 4 Pro on Windows XP Pro SP3): 1. I install the Pax 2009 Driver and reboot (milestone: sound is working) 2. I install the Tools, no reboot (milestone: sound is still working, but tools aren't) 3. I install the 2.18.0010 Driver and reboot (milestone: both sound and tools are working) |

Re: Pax Audigy Software Suite Spring Edition 2009
hi Robert McClelland!!! As always your job is wonderful!!!
I've tested your latest suite on my Notebook Dell M6300 with Adapter Express ---> PCMCIA ---> Audigy 2 zs Notebook. Everything is fine on Windows XP 32 bit -------------------------------------------------------------------------- For test purpose only I've tried them also on: Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit Windows 7 Ultimate RC Build 7100 32Bit Windows 7 Ultimate RC Build 7100 64Bit Everything is fine only EAX Console doesn't start.... audio card not find. But I can use Eax Console that comes with original driver. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Step to install them correctly is: 1) Original latest creative driver. 2) Driver from your package. 3) Tools from your package. N.B. Thanks you a lot. Robert Number 1. |
