Madden NFL Game Will Come To Facebook

Users of popular social networking site Facebook will soon be able to play a version of the popular EA sports Madden games through the site. The revelations come after EA Sports President Peter Moore mentioned the project to Bloomberg. He said:

"We have to make 'Madden' more accessible. You'll see us on Facebook going forward."

Although the comments seem pretty definite in relation to the game being developed, there was no official announcement or release date mentioned. It also remains to be seen how close to the original games a facebook application will allow them to get, Moore himself acknowledging that it will be a "simpler experience".

The Madden series still remains one of the most popular sporting titles of all time having sold 63 million copies in the United States alone. It is rumoured that this facebook version could be developed by Playfish, the Facebook games developer acquired by Electronic Arts last November.
