Motorstorm: Pacific Rift Review @ GamingHeaven

Read The Review Here

Few games matched the success of the original Motorstorm when the Playstation 3 launched. The gaming public loved the high adrenaline racing thrills as well as the mass destruction and chaotic damage model. It wasn't without flaws however as the loading times tested the patience of even the most laid back gamers. With Motorstorm: Pacific Rift can developer Evolution Studios push the boundaries further?

Re: Motorstorm: Pacific Rift Review @ GamingHeaven

When Motorstorm came out, apart from being a launch title, it also had little competition, the only other game in the genre of note released that year was Excite Truck, and while fun, obviously couldn't match the visceral action that the PS3s power provided.

Motorstorm 2 comes out into a more crowed next gen market this year, The rather excellent Pure has came out for 360/PS3, and 2 Baja based games (Although they are truly mediocre at best) are coming out to major consoles too.

You would have thought that meant MS2 would be lost in the crowd, but no, somehow it stands out again, I cannot wait to play this game for myself (Darn week wait in the UK), but by all accounts MS2 continued where MS started off, a great arcade dirt racer with more challanging fun that you can shake a stick at.

Great review, it re-inforces the fact that MS2 is an essential buy for PS3 owning racing fans everywhere

Cool review, this is going on my "must have" list, but are properly not gonna pick up before xmas or next year, are still playing far-cry 2 :P

There is a demo out for MS2 on PSN, only one track, but gives a good feel of the graphics and controls.
